Urine test for D-arabinitol

D-arabinitol is a metabolic product produced by Candida species and can be detected in urine.
This test is particularly suitable for detecting a severe to very severe infestation of the intestine or the entire metabolism with Candida albicans and other Candida species .

However, in the case of smaller to medium Candida infections or infestation with other types of fungi in the intestine, the stool test is more informative.

Stool test for yeast and mold fungi

The stool test examines, among other things:

• Candida albicans
• Candida species
• Geotrichum species
• Mold

This partial test is particularly suitable for mild to moderate intestinal infestation with the aforementioned fungal species.
In cases of more advanced infestation, the D-arabinitol urine test provides additional important information.
