What is this urine test about?

This rapid urine test allows for a preliminary self-monitoring of important urine parameters . The test is performed at home and provides indications of possible changes in the urine within a short time.

The test strip is immersed in a fresh urine sample. The result can be read directly on the test strip after 60 to 120 seconds .

Easy to use

The handling is deliberately kept simple:

  • Briefly dip the test strip into the urine sample.
  • Remove excess liquid
  • Read the result after the specified time.

The findings section of the enclosed instructions can be used for documentation and discussed with a medical professional if necessary.

Which parameters are tested?

Leukocytes

Elevated leukocytes can indicate inflammatory processes in the urinary tract or kidneys , often associated with bacterial causes.
Non-bacterial causes can also lead to elevated leukocyte levels and should be investigated further if abnormalities are found.

nitrite

Nitrite in urine can indicate the presence of nitrite-producing bacteria , which are common in bacterial urinary tract infections.
Under favorable conditions, the test can detect a large proportion of bacterial infections, but it serves primarily as a guide .

protein

Protein in the urine can occur in various kidney diseases , but is nonspecific.
Elevated values should always be considered in the overall context and, if necessary, clarified by a professional.

Glucose

The detection of glucose in urine can indicate elevated blood sugar levels or reduced reabsorption in the kidneys.
This parameter is suitable for an initial self-assessment , but it does not replace blood glucose measurement.

Erythrocytes / Hemoglobin

Blood components in the urine can occur in cases of kidney or urogenital tract diseases .
Such findings can also occur in cases of kidney stones or other irritations and should be investigated by a doctor.

Interpretation of the results

The test provides an initial indication and does not replace medical diagnosis.
